Prior to IndyCar, Patterson led promotions at Sonoma Raceway and ran the Shelby Can-Am feeder series, then took part in her first Indy 500 in 1996 as a team co-owner, helped introduce Sam Schmidt to IndyCar and launch Sam's team--known as Arrow McLaren SP today--in 2001, and is working with an Indy Autonomous Challenge team from her home state of Georgia.

Mark Raffauf has spent most of his adult life as part of the IMSA family. Dating back to his teens in the 1970s where he became an integral part of the organization during its GT glory days, he went on to become the key person behind its GTP era before shifting his attention to Grand-Am, and today, the relationship continues with his leadership role in the new IMSA championship.
Raffauf sat down for an episode of My Racing Life and Career in September of 2018 to share some stories about growing up in IMSA, living through amazing times--even some of the narco controversies that his the series--and the new book, 'IMSA 1969-1989', he's written with Mitch Bishop, son of IMSA founders John and Peggy Bishop.
