My dad was almost 20 years older than Dan and was a fighter/ test/ high altitude surveillance pilot and a senior colonel in the USAF stationed at Edwards AFB in Palmdale... Dan built me a go kart to keep me out of trouble. My dad was a mechanical aerospace engineer. Dan and the guys used to be puzzled as to the fact that my dad raced to relax on the weekends when they were working hard all week to peak on Sundays. We were there when Ken was killed on turn 6 in the Ford GT.

Great interviews Marshall! My dad shared their pit area at Riverside Raceway with Ken Miles, Richie Ginther and James Garner during the 60's. I grew up in those pits...
